There are many types of protective film, which can be divided into the following categories based on their material
- 1. PP protective film chemical form was initially commercially available. It has no adsorption capacity and is generally bonded with adhesives. After peeling, the adhesive traces remain on the screen, causing long-term corrosion. Now, this is almost eliminated.
- 2. PVC protective film is characterized by its soft texture and paste ease. However, the screen looks fuzzy because the material is thick and has poor light transmission. Tears off will also leave a glue mark on the screen. This material is prone to buttering with temperature changes and has a short lifespan.PVC’s improved version of the protective film solves the previous heavy thickness and poor light transmission.
3. PET material protective film is the most common protective film on the market; cell phones and tablet PCs use this three-layer PET protective film.
4. AR material protective film is the best screen protector on the market.
5. PE protective film is mainly the raw material for LLDPE. It is a soft material with a certain degree of stretching.
6. The appearance of the OPP protective film is similar to that of PET protective film: hard and with a certain degree of flame retardant. Still, the adhesive effect could be better for the general market; it is rarely used.
7. OCA protective film’s appearance is similar to other materials, but it is produced in Japan and primarily used in Apple cell phones. Its luminosity and hardness are better than other materials, so OCA is now the most popular material for cell phone protective films.
